House Rules for La Ermita Rural Cottage
General Requirements
- All guests (and any other person visiting the property) must comply with the house rules and any other instructions provided by the owner during their stay.
Noise and Neighborhood
- This property is child-friendly. Guests are fully responsible for the safety of any children accompanying them during the stay.
- Guests and their visitors are strictly prohibited from behaving disrespectfully towards local residents and must minimize their impact on the neighborhood.
- Quiet hours are from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and guests must respect this time frame.
Visitors
- All guests must adhere to the rules outlined in this document.
- If guests wish to have visitors, the total number of people, including both guests and visitors, must not exceed 8.
Use of the Property
- Parties or large gatherings are strictly prohibited.
- Any small gatherings must comply with the rules regarding the neighborhood and visitors.
- Electric car charging is not allowed on the property.
Garbage and Recycling
- Guests and their visitors must manage waste and recycling, ensuring no litter is left around the property.
- Garbage should be disposed of in the provided containers.
Security
- Guests are responsible for ensuring that windows and doors are properly closed whenever they leave the property, to maintain security and prevent weather-related damage.
- Guests should turn off lights, fans, and electronic devices when not in use to save energy.
Swimming Pool
- For safety reasons, glass objects are not allowed near the pool. Non-compliance will result in a deduction from the security deposit.
- Walking on the edge of the pool is not permitted.
Smoking
- Smoking is not allowed inside the house.
- Smoking is permitted outdoors, but cigarette butts must be disposed of in the provided ashtrays, not on the ground or in the plants.
- Failure to comply with these rules will result in a deduction from the security deposit.
Pets
- Pets are allowed in the house, provided the owner is notified when making the reservation and the pets are trained not to use the guest furniture.
Damages and Defects
- Any damage or defects found upon check-in must be reported to the owner as soon as possible. If not reported, the damage will be assumed to have occurred during the stay and the security deposit will be applied.
- If any issue arises during the stay involving furniture or household appliances, guests are asked to inform the owner immediately so repairs or replacements can be arranged. This helps ensure the house is ready for the next guest as quickly as possible.
- To avoid damage, moving furniture between rooms is prohibited without the owner’s consent. Also:
- Bath and pool towels provided must not be taken off the property.
Compliance
- Failure to comply with any of these rules constitutes a breach of the vacation rental agreement.
- The owner reserves the right to terminate the guest’s stay if the rules are not followed or if disturbances are caused to neighbors or other community residents.
